The Child Protection Academy was set up to educate and empower parents to safeguard their children both online and offline.

The Academy was established in 2023 by Child Psychologist Aisling O'Connor. Aisling is also the owner and principal psychologist at Connections Child Psychology in the north west of Ireland. The drive behind the Academy was Aisling's professional experience as well as her own concerns for her own children in today's world. She realised from hundreds of conversations that often parents feel overwhelmed about trying to protect their children and are unsure where or how to start.

"How to talk to your child about pornography or keeping themselves safe online are hard topics and sexual abuse is something that we are definitely not talking about enough".

Aisling O'Connor

Aisling has created accessible and valuable courses for parents and professionals who work with children so they can feel empowered and skilled to help protect children from any form of child abuse.
